Alina Gozin’a is one of Australia’s most celebrated photographers, having photographed some of Australia’s and the world’s most powerful people, like Scott Farquhar, Andrew Forrest, Frank Lowy, Kevin Rudd, Christine Lagarde, and Sam Mostyn.
But she had an unusual journey into her artistic and creative practice, immigrating from the Soviet Union to Australia and working as a tax advisor at PwC before she became a renowned photographer. In this Chat she talks about how her journey has shaped how she sees and her capacity to move across disciplines – visual story-teller, strategist and advocate for creativity.
She takes us through the ways she sees as a photographer and how it offers lessons to how we see in public life, and how we make a difference.
